Ryan Nichols

Ryan is a builder turned backer, who has spent his career growing products that help companies engage with their customers. Most recently, Ryan served as Chief Product Officer and Chief Customer Officer of Salesforce’s Service Cloud, which he grew to $9B and guided into the era of AI Agents.

Previously, he was General Manager of the Zendesk Suite, launching ZEN’s fastest growing product and Zendesk Talk, the first CRM CCaaS. He led Product or Marketing at 5 Startups at the intersection of CRM, Data, and AI, including a Salesforce Ventures-backed startup of his own. He’s exited to Wipro, Citrix, and Demandbase, and was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Foundation Capital.

Ryan developed his strategy and leadership foundation on the Corporate Strategy team at SAP (where he served on the clean team of the Business Objects acquisition), at McKinsey (helping lead the IPO of Palm), and at the Stanford GSB (where he learned the craft of Product Management at Intuit and was an Arjay Miller Scholar) after studying Economics at Williams College.
